The BioXAS sector at the Canadian Light Source is a specialized synchrotron facility dedicated to advanced X-ray spectroscopy and imaging research. BioXAS stands for Biological X-ray Absorption Spectroscopy, and the sector supports research in biology, environmental science, agriculture, chemistry, geology, medicine, and materials science. The facility is designed to study the elemental composition, chemical state, and spatial distribution of materials at very high sensitivity and resolution. The BioXAS sector contains three beamlines: BioXAS-Main, BioXAS-Side, and BioXAS-Imaging.
